Mutant Drums Vol.1 is a collection of 247 original drum sounds and loops/breaks. The key ingredient and focus when creating this kit was experimentation. Drum breaks with more edge. One shots with more character. A 1970’s tape machine and cassette multitrack for saturation and boost of sonic presence. Capturing natural ambiences in a Banyan Tree cave while recording percussion loops was a highlight of the process. Layering natural textures, vocal chants, and anything that we came across that was unique. Giving drums their own world to live in is what we strive for in every kit.
