The sound of Soul during the late 70s and 80s took a unique turn in regards to sound. It relied less on acoustic / live instrumentation as music ventured into the analog / digital world with synths and drum machines. The artists of the genre would lean more into the digital sound or a combination of both.
 
Jammin' is inspired by a plethora of musicians from the late 70s and early 80s and their classic soulful sound such as: The Isley Brothers, Eugene Wilde, Juicy, The Gap Band, The Jones Girls and more.
